Billie Eilish, 21, finally reveals where she stands with ex Jesse Rutherford, 31

Billie Eilish has finally confirmed that she is, indeed, single after splitting from boyfriend Jesse Rutherford.

The Grammy-winning star, 21, and songwriter, 31, were first romantically linked in October 2022 after they were photographed holding hands.

Despite their 10-year age gap, the couple actually mocked critics of their relationship and made a number of public appearances together.

However, it seemed they weren’t meant to be, as sources claimed they had parted ways back in May.

‘We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends,’ her spokesperson reportedly told Page Six.

And now Billie has referenced her love split for the first time, revealing where she and Jesse stand.

Taking to her Instagram Story this weekend, the Bad Guy hitmaker put up a question box so fans could get to know more about her life.

‘Are you dating anyone?’, asked one nosey follower.

Billie’s reply made it clear she’s more than content with her single status, as she wrote: ‘No sirrrrrrr’, followed by three smiley emoji.

Of course, some people were confused, perhaps not having heard the news about her recent separation.

‘Jesse?’, one person asked.

Clearing things up, Billie wrote back sweetly: ‘Very very good friends only’.

She added: ‘My homie forever’.

So, it seems they are truly still pals!

Billie – who was catapulted to global stardom as a teen – has been famously private about her love life.

But, she did spill the beans on life with Jesse in a previous interview, branding him an ‘inspiration’.

She told Vanity Fair: ‘I just am really inspired by this person, and, you know, he’s inspired by me. It’s really cool, and I’m really excited and I’m really happy about it.

‘I managed to get my way to a point in my life where I not only was known by a person that I thought was the hottest f**king f**ker alive, but pulled his a*s! 

‘Are you kidding me? Can we just [get a] round of applause for me?’
