X Factor star Katie Waissel has left her fans confused after she popped up as the office manager in Vanderpump Rules.

Katie made two appearances on the show during series four, and despite the episode airing eight years ago, fans are still as confused today as they were back then.

One fan who has been watching the series has taken to Twitter to share her confusion after spotting Katie.

Sharing a photo of Katie in the show, they said: "Sorry what the f**k is Katie Waissel from X Factor, doing working as office manager in the tattoo removal place in this ep of vanderpump rules????"

The tweet racked up plenty of reactions on social media from fellow fans who were equally shocked.

One wrote: "Omg, I had the same reaction when I rewatched the series!!!"

While another person added: "She’s honestly lived a million lives x."

Completing the reactions, this fan was in disbelief as they said: "absolutely no way."

The singer-songwriter shot to fame when she appeared on The X Factor in 2010 alongside the likes of One Direction, Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle.

In the series, she ended up reaching the quarter-finals, but she was sadly eliminated in seventh place.

However, since the show the 37 year old has gone on to do a number of other adventures that don't include singing.

And Vanderpump Rules is not the only reality progamme that Katie has been on since her time on the ITV show.

In 2016 she appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, with stars such as Ricky Norwood, Renee Graziano and Samantha Fox.

She lasted an impressive 27 days in the famous house before she left in eighth place.

Away from her varied life on screen, she has retrained in law and spoken out about her time on The X Factor.

Katie has claimed that the show "ruined" her life as there was an "imbalance" in power.

Speaking back in January this year, she told The Times: "The show ruined my life. There are so many of us who have been so trapped, and it’s not fair, there was a huge imbalance in power.

"I just wanted to be able to understand [the contracts] and to protect people from being manipulated in the future."

She also added: "People on reality TV are being publicly ridiculed for entertainment and we have become desensitised to it."
