Wes Nelson takes another dig at ex Megan Barton Hanson as he discusses romance with Arabella Chi

Wes Nelson has taken a dig at former girlfriend Megan Barton Hanson by insisting his new stint on X Factor: Celebrity won’t damage his romance with Arabella Chi.

The Love Island star, who is set to perform in a supergroup alongside Zara McDermott, Eyal Booker and Samira Mighty, opened up on his blossoming romance with model Arabella, who shot to fame in this year’s villa lineup.

Discussing his upcoming appearance on the X Factor, Wes said he’s not concerned about the show ruining his relationship like his Dancing On Ice stint, which ultimately ended things with Megan.

He told heat: “I have absolutely no doubts about my relationship. We get on so well – it’s a very different dynamic to what I’ve had before.

"She’s just so chilled. It’s really nice to be going into this knowing it’s going to be absolutely dandy. “

He added: “Unlike last year, it’s worked so much better just taking a chilled-out approach to this and going through the process like we would have done, regardless of the shows we’ve been on."

The confession comes after Megan admitted that she “hates” Wes following their dramatic split, but applauded his manhood in a candid chat with OK! magazine.

The reality beauty had an ill-fated romance with co-star Wes Nelson, but she admits she is still impressed by his manhood.

"As much as I hate him now – that was a good d**k," the 25-year-old admitted.

"That willy – I've never seen one like that!"

While she also admitted that Wes wasn't her usual type, saying: "I used to date guys with long hair, who looked like they hadn't washed for a few weeks, then I got with the six-pack adonis who was so gorgeous from every angle."

After she left the villa she received unfair criticism for having sex with two of the islanders – Wes, and Eyal Booker. Discussing the backlash, she hit back: ”I had sex with two people on TV – Adam [Collard] done the same, Wes done the same – just because I have a vagina why are you screaming at me for that?

"I literally had sex with two people in eight weeks – it's not that bad. I wasn't going to filter myself.

"I did what I'd do in real life. Eyal is beautiful so I banged him. Wes is beautiful so I banged him."

She continued: "I like sex! It's part of a relationship. Life is so stressful, that's the one thing that's meant to be nice and pleasurable."

Although she's never been able to watch any of the scenes back, with Megan confessing: "I've never watched Love Island back because I'm scared they portrayed me as just this sex symbol.

"I shouldn't just be a man-eating stripper. I should be a full package, which I am."
