Rumors have been flying around for a while and on Thursday U2 confirmed that the band will play shows in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Singapore and South Korea beginning in November.

“The Joshua Tree Tour will hit select stadiums in New Zealand, Australia, Japan – and for the first time ever – Singapore and South Korea later this year. U2.com subscriber presales will open this Tuesday 4 June, and run till Thursday 6 June,” the band tweeted.

The Joshua Tree Tour 2019 will see the band return to New Zealand and Australia for the first time since the record-shattering 360° Tour in 2010.

During each show, U2 will play their landmark 1987 album The Joshua Tree in full.

“It’s only taken me 30 years to learn how to sing these songs and it’s great to be able to say that I’ve finally caught up with the band, said U2 lead vocalist Bono.

“Our audience has given the Joshua Tree a whole new life on this tour,” he added. “Doing these shows has been very special for us, a lot of emotion.”
