Adele’s fans will need to dig deep if they’re in for a chance to see the hit maker live later this year.

The singer, 34, is set to take to Las Vegas later this year after cancelling her original residency due to the pandemic, admitting in a tearful announcement video that her show “wasn’t ready”.

However, she’s back and will be hosting her residency with a 32 gig tour, but those hoping to visit her will need to be prepared to pay well over the odds because top tickets on resale sites cost nearly £40,000 each.

Front row seats for the opening night of the Hello singer’s 32-date US gig run are currently going for £38,716.

Even the cheapest tickets on the back row of the 4,100-seat Colosseum at Caesars Palace are a staggering £579 for a 100-minute set on ticket resale site Stub Hub.

Weekend With Adele is opening on November 18 and when tickets first went on sale they cost £73 to £590. However, those who missed the first chance to grab tickets are now looking to pay at prices within the thousands for a chance to see her.

Brodie Cooper, of US PR firm PRrppd, toldThe Sunday People: “Websites would not charge those fees if people were not willing to pay those sums. Without a doubt, Adele’s ticket prices are by far the highest ever in the history of the Las Vegas strip.”

The price of the second-hand tickets marks a record for the Someone Like You hitmaker, with the cost of them said to have eclipsed the likes of previous Las Vegas residencies headed up by the likes of Celine Dion and Britney Spears.

The Weekend With Adele shows had been due to run from January to April at The Colosseum venue inside the world famous Caesars Palace hotel.

News of the prices comes just days after the songstress was said to bestarting an English Literature degree when she finishes her tour.

Speaking in a fan Q&A in Los Angeles seen byThe Sun, Adele said she will complete an online course in order to get the degree.

She said: "After Vegas, I really want to get a degree in English Literature. If I hadn't made it in my singing, I think I would definitely be a teacher. I think I'd be an English Lit teacher.

"I definitely feel like I use my passion of English Lit in what I do. But even though it's not like I'd go on to get a job from my degree, I wish I had gone to university, I wish I'd had that experience.

"I won't go to a university, I'll do it online and with a tutor, but that's my plan for 2025. It's just to get the qualifications."
