Three Men Charged With Attempting To Intimidate R. Kelly Accusers

Three men purportedly associated with R. Kelly were charged in federal court for using threats, intimidation and bribes to try to influence testimony by alleged victims who have come forward with serious criminal allegations in the racketeering case against the the disgraced R&B star.

Three separate criminal complaints were unsealed earlier this week in federal court in Brooklyn against Richard Arline, Jr., Donnell Russell and Michael Williams, the United States Attorney’s office in Brooklyn said in a press release.

Arline, Jr. was arrested Wednesday in Dolton, Illinois, and he was produced before Chicago federal Magistrate Judge Young B. Kim.

A second criminal complaint charges Russell with using the mail, the internet and cell telephones to attempt to cause emotional distress to another victim in the Kelly case, as well as her mother. Russell’s initial appearance will take place before a Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of New York on a future date.

A third criminal complaint charges Williams with using intimidation and threats against another victim in the Kelly case. He is also charged with destroying a vehicle by means of fire and explosive.
Williams was arrested Tuesday in Pompano Beach, Florida.

The racketeering case against Robert Sylvester Kelly is currently pending in the Eastern District of New York.

The fallen star is also awaiting trial on child pornography and obstruction of justice charges for purported crimes in Chicago.

The R&B singer, 53, has been jailed for more than a year in Chicago and denies the charge against him.
