On ITV's This Morning, fans were left emotional after a woman undergoing chemotherapy felt cold all the time and wanted to win some cash to fix her boiler.

The segment on Friday's edition where Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson travel the country distributing dosh on doorsteps of people who deserve it brought viewers to tears.

Beth from Warwickshire explained that she was diagnosed with leukaemia, a form of cancer of the blood cells, in April this year.

With the chemotherapy that she is currently being treated with making her feel especially cold, the winter months were looking to be particularly challenging.

Viewers rallied behind Beth and took to Twitter to show their support, commenting under a video clip that the official This Morning Twitter channel had posted.

One viewer said: "God bless you all, what a lovely thing to do, brought a tear to my eye."

"That was such a lovely gesture! Wasn't it nice to see how much it meant to the lady and her daughters! Definitely brought a tear to my eye," another said in support.

The short one minute clip has already had over 17,000 views and over 820 likes.

With her heating also broken, Beth had planned on spending the money on a new boiler, but Dermot O'Leary, Alison and Jodie were having none of that.

After winning the £1,000 cash prize while playing the game, the presenting trio had arranged for British Gas to head over to Beth's home to repair the dodgy boiler.

"We want you to enjoy yourself with that money; we've got British Gas here," Jodie said, which made Beth break down with tears of joy.

One viewer added: "Just tuned in to see this, actually made me quite emotional, I was thinking what a shame if she has to spend her winnings on fixing her heating, lovely thing to do for her!"

Hugging her daughters, Beth emotionally thanked the show, leaving Dermot, Alison and Jodie beaming that they could help.

Viewers of the show were instantly reminded why they loved it so much.

One fan expressed their love saying: "You guys are fab, that's why we vote you the best day time TV shows."

Another chimed in with: "Crying watching #ThisMorning on @ITV with @radioleary and @AlisonHammond Kindness cost nothing…what a great start to the morning."
