The truth about Hannah Ferrier’s pregnancy

06/09/2020

Below Deck Mediterranean‘s Hannah Ferrier is pregnant! The reality star announced the joyful news in an Instagram post showing off her baby bump. “You are already my favourite adventure,” she wrote in the caption of the sweet post. Hannah revealed in the comments (via People) that she is five months along.

In an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Hannah said that she and her boyfriend, Josh, are thrilled to become parents. “I’m very excited,” she said, adding that finding out she was expecting a baby was “a little surreal.” She continued, “It was good though. I think I had far more fun telling my partner.”

Josh is reportedly “over the moon” to become a dad. The couple already know the baby’s sex, although Hannah said she won’t be sharing it with fans or even having a reveal party as she is “not a massive fan of those.” Hannah and Josh even have a name picked out although they’re also keeping that a secret. “Yeah, that was one of the first things,” she said. “I think we went back-and-forth a little bit, but I got my way in the end.”

Hannah Ferrier's pregnancy has been a bit difficult so far

Hannah revealed that her first trimester was rough, and that her terrible morning sickness helped her relate to the Below Deck Med guests a little bit better. “I kind of understood all the guests complaining about seasickness after that,” she said.

Being pregnant during the COVID-19 pandemic has come with another set of challenges. “I think adjusting to your hormones and the world being in a pandemic at the same time is a little interesting,” she said. “Things that normally I would have kind of taken in my stride were making me really sad and upsetting me. Even just being in the supermarket and being over people and not being able to buy toilet paper and stuff, I would start crying in the middle of the supermarket… But yeah, hormones and pandemic at the same time is not the best recipe.”

Pandemic or not, though, Hannah couldn’t be happier to be a mom. She said that being on the Bravo reality show even helped her prepare for her new role. “I just cannot see it being any harder or any more sleep deprived than a season of Below Deck Med, that’s for sure,” she said. “If you ever want training to be a mother, then you should probably go and work on a superyacht for a few years, because I think it’ll be a walk in the park compared to that.”
