The Office’s Angela Kinsey tests positive for coronavirus

Angela Kinsey has revealed she has tested positive for coronavirus after four other members of her family also came down with Covid. 

The US Office star, 49, had earlier revealed that her mother remains in hospital with coronavirus in another state before she shared a screenshot of her positive test result showing she had caught it too. 

She told her followers she’d been tested because she felt ‘a little off’: ‘I started not feeling well and went to get retested. I knew the odds were against me since I was living with 4 Covid positive people. I really tried to quarantine and not get it.’

The actress – who played Angela Martin in The Office – has been keeping her followers updated with her family’s health, after her husband Joshua Snyder and their three children came down with coronavirus over Christmas. 

Angela wrote: ‘Morning. Merry Christmas Eve. It’s been a tough few days here but me and my morning mask hair wanted to say a big thank you for all of your messages of love and support. They have meant so much! 

‘To bring some of you up to speed, last weekend our boys started running low grade fevers. We got everyone tested and the boys tested positive for Covid. 

‘We don’t go out and about and have been in lockdown so we aren’t sure how they got it. Me, my husband and daughter all tested negative. We went into quarantine in our own home. Living in separate bedrooms, wearing masks etc. 

‘This week Isabel and Josh start running fever. We immediately retested again. Isabel and Josh now have Covid. I somehow do not. I am now quarantining by myself. 

‘So far they are all having very mild cases and I am thankful for that. We’ll be having a masked Covid Christmas over here. Stay safe y’all! Sending you my love. (And, I am double masking when I am around my family. This cloth mask and an N95 over it but it’s hard to breath. I just figured y’all might be curious how I’m navigating getting through my house.) Also, 2020 can kiss my a**.’

Angela also updated her followers on how her mum is doing after she ended up hospitalised with the virus. 

She wrote: ‘I can’t sleep. I’m thinking about my Mom alone in a hospital room and no one can visit her because she has Covid.

‘I’m thinking about my husband and kids that I have to quarantine away from in my own home because they have Covid and I do not. My Mom is in Texas. I am in California. But it doesn’t matter where you are. This is everywhere. 

‘Thank you for sharing your Covid stories with me. They make me feel less alone. Night time is the worst. I feel powerless and worried and I pray.’

She added: ‘*Also if you have some snarky “Covid is a hoax” comment to leave, I politely ask you to shove it where the sun don’t shine. I hope you all are well. And if you are out around others put on “dat mask”. (Said in my Cajun cousin’s accent.)’

Angela later revealed that her mother was doing a bit better, though she would need to remain in hospital for a few more days, adding: ‘I just spoke with my Mom. She sounds so much better. 

‘Sending my love and thanks to her nurses and doctors! And Josh finally got some much needed sleep. We’re taking it one day at a time. I hope you all have a great day.’
