Tess Daly shares rare unearthed moment with husband Vernon Kay after marriage speculation

Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly, 50, and Vernon Kay, 45, tend to keep their marriage and family life out of the limelight, but gave fans an insight into their lives today. The presenter shared a throwback picture of the pair in their younger years to mark their 20th Valentine’s Day together on Instagram.

The host posted the unearthed snap of the couple in view of her 506,000 Instagram fans today.

The pair, believed to be in their early 30s at the time, both smiled for the camera.

Tess captioned the picture: “Happy 20th Valentines @vernonkay.”

Many of the star’s fans flocked to her post to share their thoughts.

Countryfile presenter Julia Bradbury commented: “Happy V Day you two,” while another wrote: “Wow your both so young there. Lovely photo.”(sic)

“Happy valentines to you both,” a third penned.

The couple tied the knot back in 2003 after three years together.

They share two daughters; 15-year-old Phoebe and Amber, 10.

Tess’ pictures comes after Vernon recently hit back at an Instagram user who queried their marriage.

He took to the social media site to share a snap of the couple’s daughters facing away from the camera.

He captioned the post: “After being in the Middle East for a week, no better feeling than coming home.”

While many social media users gushed over the Family Fortunes star’s post, one took the opportunity to query his marriage to Tess.

The social media user wrote: “Feels like you and @tessdaly are living separate lives. I hope not. Love you guys.”

Hitting back, Vernon said: “Pictures of our family life are all labelled nicely on an iPad or in Apple photo books for us to share, as a family.

“No need to invite the world into our home life, some do, but it’s not for us. We are 100 [per cent]. Thanks for asking.”

The person replied: “Great stuff. I b****y love you guys.”

Vernon recently spoke out about teaching the couple’s daughters about social media.

In a discussion about parenting on the Jeremy Vine show, he said: “I think you’ve got to really open and honest.
