Strictly star Saffron Barker’s ‘secret rivalry’ with Love Island’s Molly-Mae

Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker appears to have a secret rivalry with Love Island runner-up Molly-Mae Hague as their social media pages are almost identical.

After Molly-Mae, 20, joined the ITV dating show, many viewers remarked that she looks a lot like Saffron, 19, who is a longtime YouTube star and Instagram influencer.

It now looks like Molly-Mae might also be a big fan of the social media sensation and may even have modelled her own influencer career in Saffron's style.

Molly-Mae has become famous for her trademark blonde bun, but it's actually Saffron's go-to look as she's been sporting it for years – way before the Love Island star made it her own.

Saffron has even filmed a number of videos for her vlog, showing her two million subscribers exactly how to achieve the look.

Molly-Mae recreated the tutorial in the Love Island villa, showing viewers how to do the Saffron-style bun.

Saffron may still be ahead on YouTube, but she's been overtaken by Molly-Mae on Instagram in recent weeks.

The Love Island star has gone from 268,000 followers before the show to a mammoth 2.3 million – making her a major force in the influencing industry.

It puts her way ahead of Saffron on 1.2 million, but the social media star will surely be hoping to get a major boost once Strictly Come Dancing starts next month.

Molly-Mae's Instagram feed is very similar to Saffron's – they are seen in the same poses, wearing the same hairstyle and even attending the same events.

Both Saffron and Molly-Mae have done YouTube work for Primark, and it looks like the Love Islander went to the party held to celebrate the launch of the Strictly star's line for the store.
