Simon Rimmer: Sunday Brunch host addresses regret ‘Should’ve had a word with myself’

Sunday Brunch presenter Simon Rimmer has posted a throwback picture online today and poked fun at his fashion sense. The 57-year-old TV star looked fresh-faced in the photograph which was taken back in 2007, but he wasn’t too happy with his choice of clothing.

Simon could be seen in a black pin-striped shirt with white collar in the snap, which he shared with his 149,000 followers today.

“WT [What the] absolute F [f**k] am I wearing?!!!!!” he wrote alongside the old photograph.

Sharing a bit more information about the image, he went on to say: “This popped up on my 2007 remember this day.

“Jesus I should’ve had a word with myself,” he joked.

Instagram followers and fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the throwback snap.

“Your too sexy for your shirt,” one follower wrote, referencing the classic Right Said Fred track I’m Too Sexy.

“Ooh crimes against fashion,” another joked.

“That’s some collar you’re carrying Mr Rimmer. Harry Hill will be proud of you,” a third remarked.

“Fair play mate we all have shockers like this in tow,” a more understanding follower wrote beside the picture.

Seeing as the original image was posted on Halloween, a fifth fan said he should pass it off as a fancy dress costume.

“Just say it was your fancy dress outfit that day,” the follower advised.

Sharing a similar thought, another added: “I thought this was a halloween throwback to that time you dressed a Beetle Juice.”
