Travis Scott‘s offer to pay for the funeral expenses of AstroWorld’s victims has been rejected by several families.

Ten people died during a crowd surge that occurred during Scott’s headlining set on Friday, November 5, at the AstroWorld festival. At the time, there were about 50,000 people attending the festival at Houston’s NRG Park complex.

Attorneys for the families of four of the victims said that they received a letter from Scott’s attorney, Daniel Petrocelli, in which the offer was made, but they have declined.

“It was not an offer [the Hilgerts] were going to seriously consider,” saidRichard Mithoff, attorney for the family of 14-year-old John Hilgert, according to Rolling Stone. “Of all the things this case is about, that’s the least of any concern.”

“This family is set on making change and ensuring this never happens at a concert again,” he added. “I find offering to pay for funerals frankly demeaning and really inappropriate to the magnitude of the tragedy that unfolded.”

The family of nine-year-old Ezra Blount, who was the youngest victim from the festival, also told Scott’s legal team they wouldn’t accept his money.

Meanwhile, Scott and other organizers are facing several lawsuits, filed by more than 125 people who were caught up in incident seeking $750 million in damages.
