Santana Share New Single ‘Candombe Cumbele’

Santana have released a new song, titled “Candombe Cumbele,” from their upcoming album, “African Speaks.”

The Rick Rubin-produced track, sung in Spanish, features guest vocalists Buika and Easy Kabaka Brown.

The Latin rock band has set a June 7 release date for Africa Speaks.

The band’s frontman and guitarist Carlos Santana holds the LP in high esteem.

“We recorded 49 songs in 10 days,” Santana says in a trailer for the album. “Killer African dynamic, vibrant-filled with exuberance… African soul that I selected probably in a period of 25 years.”

He added, “It feels like it was meant to be, like a sacrament… a gift from heaven to us to receive and to give to the masses because the masses are going to be blown away when you hear this music.”
