Giovanni Pernice, 31, picked up the Strictly Come Dancing Glitterball trophy for the first time last year with Rose Ayling-Ellis, 27. The pair won over viewers, who were also delighted to see their reunion for the Strictly tour.

It’s nice to dance with you again.

The pair were loved by fans for their natural chemistry, after constantly praising each other throughout the show.

Taking to the Strictly dance floor in Birmingham for the Strictly 2022 Live Tour, the pair beamed at each other as they took part in a dress run and photoshoot.

Rose made sure all eyes were on her as she stunned in a gold feathered jumpsuit.

The sparkles shimmered while feathers decorated her legs and arms.

She styled her brunette tresses in elegant waves that fell past her shoulders.

Giovanni, meanwhile, wore a smart black trouser and a spotted mesh top with a sparkled collar.

The pair looked delighted to be back together as they locked eyes while Rose wrapped her leg around Giovanni.

Giovanni posted an update on the pair on his Instagram yesterday in view of his 794,000 followers before the dress run.

Rose said as she stood behind Giovanni: “So yeah, the dress run thing is going very well.”

Giovanni replied abruptly: “It’s not a dress run ‘thing’. It’s a dress run.

“So yeah, the dress run is going very well. It’s nice to dance with you again.”

Rose replied: “Yeah, it’s lovely to dance again, it brings happy memories.”

Rose made history as the first deaf contestant to compete in Strictly, and added to that by winning the show overall.

The Strictly winner today was spotted dancing with finalist John Whaite, with Janette Manrara documenting rehearsals on her Instagram.

Strictly tour host Janette joked the cast had “gone mad” after members of the group swapped their dance partners.

Tilly Ramsay, who will be partnered with Nikita Kuzmin, started practicing the Waltz with Johannes Radebe’s partner John Whaite.

Then, Maisie Smith, who is paired up with Kai Widdrington, danced with The Wanted’s Max George, whose pro dance partner is Katya Jones.

In a candid clip, a confused Janette commented: “What is actually happening? The couples have all gone mad. They’ve all swapped around.

“It’s the craziest partner swap ever.”

The eagerly-awaited tour kicks off in Birmingham on Thursday, after which Strictly fans all over the country will be able to watch their favourite stars in action.

The tour will end on February 13 at London’s O2 Arena.
