Report Details a ‘Sad’ Kim Kardashian West Amid Divorce Filing From Kanye

The pair formerly known as Kimye are ending their seven-year marriage. Kim Kardashian West filed paperwork to end her and Kanye West’s highly publicized union. This comes just one year after Kim gave birth to the couple’s fourth child via surrogate and amid a controversial year for Kanye. Despite their ups and downs, both are reportedly not doing well.

Kim Kardashian West is reportedly ‘sad’ since filing for divorce from Kanye West

Reports of Kim’s divorce filing hit the net on Friday, Feb. 19. The filing comes amid rumors that Kim’s decision to file was “imminent” and that she’s been “done” with the marriage since Kanye’s public breakdown during 2020.

Despite Kim allegedly being over the marriage for months and the two living separately, a source told People Magazine that Kim is “sad” regarding her marriage ending.

“Kim is with her family today,” the source says. “She is doing OK. She is sad, but ready to move on.”

The source adds that Kim exhausted all of her options before walking away from the marriage completely.

“Their marriage has been broken for a long time,” the insider says. “Kim feels like she has done everything she can to save it. Filing for divorce is something she has been thinking about for a long time. She has also been dreading it. She really, really has done everything to avoid filing.”

Kanye West is reportedly not holding up well since Kim Kardashian West’s divorce filing

While Kim is looking forward to a fresh start, Kanye is reportedly not holding up well.

“Kanye is not doing well,” a source who claims to be close to the 43-year-old music superstar told People. “He is anxious and very sad and knows that the marriage is over, and there’s nothing that can be done right now. He also knows that he is losing in Kim.”

Kanye is allegedly aware that his 2020 presidential run was Kim’s final straw. Their breakup is said to be caused by their differing viewpoints on politics and their overall lifestyles. Kanye prefers to live on his ranch in Wyoming while Kim would prefer to raise their family in LA near her family. 

The divorce between Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West will allegedly be quick and amicable

Kim and Kanye married in 2013 in a lavish ceremony in Italy. Together, they share four children – their youngest, Psalm, is just 1-years-old. 

Per the divorce documents, Kim is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their four kids.  Kanye is reportedly satisfied with the joint custody agreement as both are said to be committed to co-parenting.

There’s an ironclad prenuptial agreement and neither party is reportedly contesting it. The split has allegedly been in motion for months and there is already said to be a plan in place for a property settlement. 

Kim hired Laura Wasser, who has handled multiple Kardashian-Jenner divorces. As for the date of separation, the divorce document does not currently list one; instead, it currently reads to be determined.
