Rebel Wilson is ‘in touch with her inner siren’ after 30kg weight loss

Rebel Wilson has admitted she is now focused on her "inner siren" following her epic five stone weight loss.

The Australian actress, who wowed in a sensational swimsuit snap last month, honed in on her fitness and nutrition after declaring 2020 as her "year of health" and has seen impressive results.

And the 41 year old has now revealed that after years of being the "personality girl" she's now enjoying the attention she has been receiving for her looks.

"I grew up not really trading on my looks. I was the personality girl," the Pitch Perfect star told Australia's The Daily Telegraph.

"But after going through my whole health transformation last year, I've been in touch with this 'inner siren,'" the movie star explained.

Rebel, who previously revealed her health journey kicked off because she wanted to start a family, also opened up to the publication about her "emotional rollercoaster" with her fertility journey.

"I'm hoping at some point I may have a family of my own. But it's still a bit unclear whether that'll be the case. I feel like it's not over yet. It's kind of an emotional rollercoaster. But I've been trying my best, so whatever will be, will be," she said.

Meanwhile, Rebel has spoken previously about how differently she is treated now that she has shed weight.

"Sometimes being bigger, people didn't necessarily look twice at you, and now that I'm in good shape, like, people offer to carry my groceries to the car and hold doors open for you," she told The Morning Crew With Hughesy, Ed and Erin.

"I was like, 'Is this what other people experienced all the time?'"

Back in June, Rebel shared the secret to her incredible five stone weight loss and confessed she puts none of it down to strict dieting.

She made it clear it wasn't extreme dieting that saw her body transformation but instead "learning how to manage emotional eating and taking daily supplements".

Speaking with diet and fitness magazine Shape, Rebel said her healthy lifestyle came after turning 40 and looking into the possibility of freezing her eggs.

She said: "Experts told me the healthier I am, the better the process can go."

This was the kick-start that encouraged the actress to enter an Austrian health retreat where she learned how to adopt a healthier approach to her life.

Following her time at the retreat, she also took up moderate walking as a way to lose excess body fat.
