As a result of his violent outburst, the two-time NBA champion is ordered to stay away from former partner Ashley Bachelor and their two children in addition to turning over his firearm.

AceShowbizRajon Rondo is swallowing the bitter pill for his fit of temper. Following reports that he pulled a gun on his family during one heated altercation, the two-time NBA champion found himself on the opposite end of a restraining order.

Before a judge slapped him with the ban on Monday, May 16, the basketball athlete was reported by his former partner Ashley Bachelor for pulling a gun and threatening to kill her. She went on to file for an emergency protective order, requesting protection for herself and her two children.

“I am extremely fearful for my safety and for the safety of my children,” she wrote on her emergency protection request. “Rajon has a history of volatile, erratic, explosive behavior. He is verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive.”

“He physically hits our son and calls him names like ‘p***y’ and accuses him of acting like a ‘b***h,’ ” Ashley continued. “Rajon verbally assaults our daughter. He calls her names like ‘t**t, b***h, and d**khead.’ Rajon has made several threats on my life, saying at various times he will shoot me or shoot up my car.”

According to TMZ, the judge in charge of the case has signed off on the protective order. The order stated that Rajon has to stay at least 500 feet away from his children and Ashley. He was also ordered to turn over his gun to the court. In addition, she is given temporary custody of the two children.

However, it is noted that the granting of the emergency protective order is not a confirmation for the severity of the alleged claims, and the order is a temporary one. It will remain the same until both people stand before the judge and argue the merit of the order.

Back when Ashley first reported Rajon, she gave the full story of what happened on May 11. Based on her claims, the four-time NBA All-Star was playing video games with their son before his violent outburst took over.

When Ashley asked their son to separate laundry, Rajon started to get angry and ripped the game console out of the wall in front of the little boy. He also smashed everything around him, from a teacup to outdoor lights and trash cans.

Seeing Rajon’s flare-up, Ashley noticed that the kids were scared, and therefore, she attempted to “deescalate.” The situation, however, went downhill as he started making death threat and saying, “You’re dead.”

The 36-year-old athlete allegedly left the house for 15 minutes. When he returned, he was holding a gun and slamming the back window with it. At first, Ashley was unaware of the weapon, so she approached the window to take a closer look. After noticing the firearm, she asked him to stop but he refused to listen and insisted her to “get my f**king son!”

Fearing something bad would happen if she did not obey his request, Ashley brought down their son Pierre. Rajon then “yanked [Pierre] outside” after opening the backdoor. She claimed that he was holding his gun and screaming at their son, asking why Pierre was scared of him. Fortunately, the situation took a better turn when Rajon’s mom and dad arrived at the scene. They were able to take him away.
