Princess Eugenie celebrates divorced Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew’s anniversary

Princess Eugenie took to Instagram on Wednesday to celebrate the anniversary of her parents, Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew, despite their 1996 divorce.

“Who else has ever forgotten to congratulate their parents on their wedding anniversary!” she captioned a gallery of the exes on their July 23, 1986 wedding day. “I’m a day late but I wanted to celebrate my parents getting married 33 years ago…”

Eugenie, 29, may have confused her followers as her parents haven’t been together in decades, but alluded to the fact that the two have successfully co-parented her and older sister Princess Beatrice.

“Thank you for always being the best of friends and bringing us up together,” she said.

Ferguson, 59, who is better known as “Fergie” — and has been tangled in numerous public scandals — caused a stir when, at Eugenie’s wedding in October, she joined her ex-in-laws, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, in an official portrait.

She was also a guest at the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry last year.

It seems as if Fergie and Prince Andrew are on good terms as their daughter suggests since they were seen together at the Royal Ascot in June. Coincidentally, it’s the same event where the two met in 1985.
