Prince Harry is a royal with a sense of humor.

Per ET Canada, the creator of HBO Max’s new royal-centered animated comedy, The Prince, Gary Janetti, revealed that Harry has no hard feelings toward the series, which pokes fun at the British royal family. During an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Janetti said that the actor voicing the prince, Orlando Bloom, and the Duke of Sussex are real-life neighbors and friends, and that Bloom did eventually receive Harry’s blessing to take on the role.

“I don’t know if Harry has said anything to Orlando about it, but I know before the show premiered, he was aware that Orlando was doing it … and he seemed to have a sense of humor about it,” Janetti told Cohen during the chat.

Bloom recently spoke out about taking on the role with The Hollywood Reporter, expressing that though he’s a proud native Brit, he couldn’t turn down the hilariously written script.

“Initially, I was like, ‘Hmm, how do I feel about this?’ because I’m a British boy who’s actually very proud of my roots,” Bloom told the outlet. “I’ve always understood it as part of my heritage and background, and I’m not someone who wants to poke fun at anyone normally, but this was so clever, witty and affectionately done.”

Bloom added, “I hadn’t met him when I signed up to do it, and I subsequently met him and he’s such a nice guy and he’s got a great sense of humor. I hope he maintains his sense of humor through this because they’re sort of on a pedestal. We’re showing real adoration to them in one form or another.”
