Monty Don, 65, recently returned to screens in the latest series of Gardeners’ World on BBC Two. However, the star found himself apologising earlier today for flooding his followers’ timelines with images of his beloved garden.

The gardener posted some springtime pictures of his land to his 823,000 followers earlier today.

However, it seems the star was a bit embarrassed as he quickly apologised to fans in the caption.

He wrote: “Apologies for having rather a lot of the Writing garden of late – but it is looking lovely.”

The image he selected was one of his Writing Garden covered with daffodils in full bloom.

This section of his garden also features a lovely brick pathway leading through the flowers.

Despite his apology, his followers did not seem to mind seeing more photos of his beloved garden on their feed.

One replied: “Never apologise for the beautiful pictures you post! They are so uplifting.”

“Don’t apologise it’s stunning,” added another of Monty’s followers.

A third added: “Don’t apologise – this is what we’re here to see. It’s looking amazing.”

Another penned: “I love the fresh green and white tones. Stunning.”

Monty has posted several pictures of the beloved section of his garden over the past few weeks.

Three days ago he posted another snap of it dappled in sunlight through the trees.

And on March 30 he shared an image of it covered in mist as his dog Nell walked along the path.

He captioned this one: “It was a very misty start to the day.”

Monty’s Longmeadow garden is at his home in Herefordshire and has been his pride and joy since 1991.

Much of the latest series of Gardeners’ World was filmed there given the restrictions in place due to coronavirus.

However, viewers have enjoyed finding out more about the additions and changes he has made to the garden this year.

Monty is known for replying to his fans on social media and has had several enthusiastic interactions so far in this series.

Although, not everyone has been so positive about it after some viewers complained about him using his wife’s garden utensils during the latest episode.

Posting on Twitter to his 218,000 followers, Monty hit out at the “old-fashioned” comments.

He wrote: “Surprised at the number of comments referring to ‘my wife’ being exasperated that I used ‘her’ kitchen bowls in the mulch item.

“This seems fantastically old-fashioned. We share everything as equals- including kitchen utensils!”

Gardeners’ World airs on BBC Two on Fridays at 9pm.
