Mischa Barton Savagely SLAMS Rumored The Hills Replacement Caroline D’Amore & Her ‘Gre

Mischa Barton is NOT here for false stories!

As we previously shared, rumor had it MTV was apparently giving The O.C. star the boot after one season on The Hills: New Beginnings, and had plans to replace her with pizza heiress Caroline D’Amore.

On Wednesday, Barton got online to let us know this was not the case, despite Us Weekly‘s report. Along with a screenshot of the outlet’s original story, the alum of The O.C. wrote on Instagram:

“Lol. Where do people get their reporting from? As if anyone would watch @carolinedamore try to hoc her boring ass pasta bowls ?? and greasy pizza on tv. Tried that it was like watching paint dry. ? Get the story straight first. @usweekly”

HA!

And commenters were very much here for the shade thrown (TBH, so are we) by the 34-year-old. Here’s a sampling of what they had to say in the comments section:

Even Spencer Pratt chimed in on the juicy goodness!! On Twitter, he penned:

“Where was this Mischa last season #thehills”

As you may recall, fans and cast members of the MTV series were initially skeptical of bringing someone without reality TV experience onto the show. Heidi Montag shared with Us at the time:

“I think it was a little frustrating for me at first, because, like, we’ve put our whole lives into this show before and after, so to have someone come in and, like, be so reserved was a little bit frustrating. I don’t think it was intentional, I think that is, like, how she is, and she’s just a little more closed and needed a little more time to open .”

The crew might be a little more keen on welcoming D’Amore into the group considering she has acting and reality TV experience, but from what Mischa had to say it doesn’t seem like she’s actually joining the cast. Frankie Delgado echoed Heidi’s statement:

“What we do is really hard to do and I think that she kind of proved it right. Like, she was like, ‘Yo, listen, this is the hardest thing I’ve done.’ You gotta put yourself out there. … People can spot that fakeness.”
