Miley Cyrus makes Hannah Montana-inspired first post since split

Miley Cyrus has referenced one of her biggest hits in her first post since announcing her split from husband Liam Hemsworth.

The 26-year-old singer harked back to her Hannah Montana days as she gave a nod to The Climb, which was huge hit in 2009 and appeared in her Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Miley posted a pic of her against a mountain backdrop, in which she has a slightly screwed up and confused face.

She captioned the pic, which is reportedly from her current trip to Italy: "Life's a climb… but the view is great."

While the words are not direct lyrics taken from The Climb, there are enough hints in the words and pics to believe that this is what she is referring to.

The song is described as a 'power ballad' and was written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe and it is thought to be about facing life's challenges and how the journey is more important than the destination.

In the chorus of the song, Miley sings: "There's always gonna be another mountain/ I'm always gonna wanna make it move/ Always gonna be an uphill battle/ Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose/ Ain't about how fast I get there/ Ain't about what's waiting on the other side/ It's the climb."

This was one of three messages that Miley shared with her 97 million followers, after it was announced that she was splitting from Liam.

With a similar mountain scenario as a backdrop, Miley wrote on another post: "Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win.

"Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once under water, connected with Africa, change is inevitable. The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed."

"My dad always told me 'Nature never hurries but it is always on time'…. it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true.
