A quote from activist Tamika Mallory slamming Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron for his decision in the case of Breonna Taylor‘s killing was played during musical guest Megan Thee Stallion‘s performance of her hit “Savage” on “Saturday Night Live.”

“Daniel Cameron is no different than the sellout Negroes that sold our people into slavery,” the Women’s March co-founder could be heard saying in the audio clip.

It was followed by the rapper saying a few words: “We need to protect our black women and love our black women, because at the end of the day, we need our women. We need to protect our black men and stand up by our black men, because at the end of the day, we tired of seeing hashtags about black men.”

Megan Thee Stallion also played her new single “Don’t Stop” and appeared in two skits.

Cameron, a Republican and the first black American to become Kentucky AG, charged one of the three officers involved in the death of Taylor with wanton endangerment for firing into her home.
