Mark Wahlberg and Dr. Oz are fighting on Instagram about breakfast

Mark Wahlberg and Dr. Mehmet Oz gave fans some food for thought.

Wahlberg recently flipped out at Oz over the importance of breakfast, taking to Instagram to argue against Oz’s advocacy for intermittent fasting.

“Listen, we got beef now. You don’t want this smoke, trust me,” Wahlberg, 48, said in a video, explaining that his buddy Dr. Christopher Vincent has been feeding him useful advice that counters Oz’s views. “If you wanna challenge me, I’ll come hungover, eat a big steak, and you can do your little 20 push-ups with one leg, your assisted pull-up, I’m telling you you’ll need a defibrillator when I’m done with you.”

The buff star — who is known for his insane workout regimen — added that there was no way he could take all his vitamins and without eating first.

“You gotta have food. Food is your friend,” he said.

The 59-year-old TV host and physician then responded in a video while doing 30 one-legged push-ups.

“I watched your video and heard the taunting … I would eat normally but I skip breakfast, I skip lunch. I feel stronger than ever because I’m intermittent fasting, which you should learn more about,” he said between push-ups. “The ball’s in your court my friend. Anytime, anywhere … By the way those pull-ups, they were real.”

But Wahlberg wouldn’t give in and responded with yet another video where he flexed his muscles.

“I’ll tell you what, come see me,” he said. “I’m coming for you Dr. Oz. Now, we really got beef …. Get that defibrillator I told you about. It’s about to go down.”

But the cardiothoracic surgeon got the last word.

“Hey Mark, I gotta say nice muscles but I still haven’t seen you work out yet,” Oz said in a hospital as he showed a defibrillator. “You keep talking about defibrillators. I’m sure you played with one in a movie once but I’m here in the hospital and I actually play with real devices that save real lives … when you work out with that full stomach of yours, I’m going to be defibrillating you.”

Hopefully, the health nuts can work out their differences.
