Love Island’s Olivia needs to ‘pull herself together’, says ex islander, who says ‘she won’t last’

It's been a jaw-droppingly dramatic week in the Love Island villa.

And in amongst the lip-locking and multiple shock dumpings that viewers of the hit dating show have witnessed so far, the biggest drama at the moment seems to have developed from Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown and Olivia Hawkins' spat.

But one of last year's favourite islanders and OK!'s official Love Island columnist Danica Taylor has something to say about the girls' fiery feud.

"It's hard because obviously you've got people who are like, 'Zara is this and that – Olivia is a cry-baby', but I don't know," Danica told viewers of our latest Instagram Live. "They're both as bad as each other.

"They both play into it, they both feed off it and I think unless you're in there living it, it's so hard to really get a gist of what's actually going on.

"I really like Zara but it's hard to read. Who's the one instigating it? Who's in the wrong? I don't know. They're both just playing it, they're both doing their own thing."

When bombshell Zara arrived, she 'stole' Tom Clare from Olivia, leaving the latter fuming.

The pair also clashed last week after Zara accused ring girl and actress Olivia of being “two-faced” during a game.

As part of a game, Zara, 25, was dared to kiss both the cheeks of the Islander she thinks is the most two-faced as she chose Olivia, 27.

Zara's decision did not go down well with Olivia as she quickly hit back after being asked to "reveal a secret." She said: "Oh I've got a good one, I'm actually not two-faced, I'm very straight up!"

But Danica thinks Olivia could do with some tough love from her fellow co-stars.

"I do think Olivia – she cries a lot – and I feel like for me, I went through a lot in there and I was very strong, and I feel like, 'Pull it together a little bit'," she laughs. "Do you know what I mean?

"Tanyel the other day when she said enough is enough and 'I don't want to hear this anymore', she was being a good friend because it's true, like girl, pull yourself together.

"You've [Olivia] only been in there for two weeks, you've got a long way to go so let's just hold back the tears."

Danica adds, "I'm sure there's a lot more to come – like Casa Amour, she won't last if she carries on the way she is, so hopefully she gets her inner peace and pulls herself together.

She's a great looking girl – she's got a lot of assets."

Fans of the ITV2 dating show have also discovered that the logger-heads duo had already met each other long before entering the South African villa.

"Look, it's very evident that they knew each other before the show. There's a lot of speculation, there's a lot of evidence, so I just think that situation – we're never going to know until it gets spoken about. There's definitely an underlying thing going on.

Zara and Olivia appeared in a music video for Dapz's track Take You Away – which came out in 2019 – alongside each other just a few years ago.

The two dancers can both be seen enjoying the Hollywood Hills pool party in various shots, with one shot showing Olivia in a red bikini and a white shirt as she tosses her long, dark hair.

Zara features heavily in the video too, as she's seen partying in the pool before featuring in a number of close up shots, as well as dancing around musician Dapz.

Eagle-eyed Love Island fans previously noted that Zara and Olivia once seemed to be friends as they commented on each other's pictures on Instagram in 2020, with Zara even referring to Olivia as her “babes”.

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
