Lifetime’s ‘College Admissions Scandal’ Trailer Is LIT! Watch HERE!

09/08/2019

We seriously can’t get enough of this new Lifetime trailer! It has everything you could possibly want in a made-for-TV movie teaser — and it’s all about the college admissions scandal!

As you can see (above), Lifetime just released their much-anticipated first look at The College Admissions Scandal, based on the real-life events surrounding high profile families trying to get their kids into expensive, world-class universities.

Obviously, the trailer is all about the stories of Felicity Huffman Macy and Lori Loughlin, and what their two families went through with trying to get their daughters into college. (Well, obviously, it’s been dramatized quite a bit, as you can see from watching the trailer up top… but you get the idea.)

Meanwhile, In Real Life…

The case has continued to wind its way through the courts — slowly, but surely. As you might recall, when Huffman pled guilty a few months ago, she also shared a very powerful impact statement with the court at the time, stating (below):

“I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions. I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community. I want to apologize to them and, especially, I want to apologize to the students who work hard every day to get into college, and to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices to support their children and do so honestly.”

That sort of authenticity — and her desire to clearly make amends for doing wrong — should help Huffman when it comes to (mostly) staying out of prison. Somebody got good legal advice, and was smart enough to take it! As we’ve been reporting, Huffman Macy has come clean and been regretful since pretty much day one of the scandal, so perhaps her remorse and growth are both legit and justified.

Such is not quite the case for Loughlin, who has chosen NOT to take the plea deal here, and instead faces the potential of decades in prison along with her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, if convicted in federal court. Her marriage is reportedly feeling the weight of the federal investigation on it, as well, and we know Lori and at least one of her daughters have allegedly been estranged because of the whole drama. Yikes!!!

BTW, in case you’re wondering, The College Admissions Scandal is all set to air on Lifetime on October 10.

Set your calendars and don’t miss it for the world, y’all!!!
