Kris Jenner ‘so heartbroken’ over sudden death of Tristan Thompson’s mum Andrea
01/07/2023Khloe Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner has said she is "heartbroken" as she has sent her condolences to Tristan Thompsonfollowing the death of his mother, Andrea.
The Kardashian star, 67, described Tristan's mother Andrea Thompson as “the most amazing, dedicated, devoted, and selfless mom”.
The 31 year old basketball player's mother Andrea was rushed to hospital on Thursday in Toronto, Canada, but it is believed they were not able to resuscitate her.
NBA star Tristan and Khloe, 38, share two children together, but officially ended their relationship in January 2022 when it was revealed that he had fathered a child with another woman.
Despite this, Khloe was pictured by US outlet TMZ arriving in Toronto with Tristan by private jet on Thursday.
It is understood by TMZ that Tristan was in Los Angeles with his ex Khloe Kardashian at the time and reportedly left in a private jet to be with his family.
A source told the publication that Khloe, 38, joined Tristan to comfort him during this sad time and she was also close to his mum Andrea.
“I am so heartbroken by the sudden passing of Tristan’s mom, Andrea,” Kris wrote on her Instagram, while sharing pictures of them together with Khloe and Tristan.
“My thoughts, prayers and all of my love are with Tristan, Amari, Dishawn and Daniel. You were the most amazing, dedicated, devoted, and selfless mom and such a loving, kind, and fabulous grandmother. What a blessing you were to your family!!!”
She added: “I will miss you Andrea. I will miss your bright spirit and amazing light. Thank you for always praying for us and lifting us up and encouraging us along the way. Rest in peace beautiful angel.”
Many shared their condolences to Tristan and his family in the comments, with one writing: "We love you Andrea and will miss you dearly."
"Terrible news, Andrea was so young and vibrant and such a great mom Prayers to @realtristan13 and his family," another said.
Rita Wilson also commented on Kris' post: "Condolences to the family. So very sad."
As well as being a father to Khloe's two children, Tristan is also father to six-year-old son Prince with ex Jordan Craig and a 13-month old son named Theo – who he shares with Maralee Nichols.
Back in May 2020, Tristan shared a video of his mother with a sweet caption as he paid a tribute to her on Mother's Day.
He wrote on Instagram: "Happy Mother’s Day Mommy! One day isn’t enough to praise and lift you high. Everyday is your day.
"Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for me and my brothers. I love you and I’m soo lucky to have been chosen as your son. Not all superheroes wear capes."
