Kerry Katona has strongly defended Megan Barton Hanson after she revealed an ex “slut-shamed” her.

The 39 year old former Atomic Kitten singer, who recently opened up on the terrifying moment her daughter Dylan Jorge stopped breathing, said she “started out as a sex worker” as she backed Megan, 36.

Writing in her latest column for new! magazine, Kerry said: “I feel for Megan Barton-Hanson, who revealed she’d been slut-shamed by an ex for selling her used knickers for money and working in the sex industry.”

Mum of five Kerry, who recently launched her own OnlyFans page, then revealed: “I started out as a sex worker – I was a topless Page 3 model and it paid my bills. It’s an industry that will never go away, so why are we so quick to condemn the women who work in it?”

Kerry then pointed out: “When a Hollywood actress films a sex scene in a movie it’s called art and she can win an award for it.

“But when me and Megan pose for OnlyFans pics, we’re called slags. Society needs to change its outlook on sex workers. Who the hell are we to judge anyone?”

It comes after Megan revealed a cruel ex “slut-shamed” her for working as a stripper and selling her used knickers for £200.

Former Love Island star Megan shared a screenshot of a message from an anonymous former lover on her Instagram story, which read: “Then you was going on dates with lads for a job, selling your knickers for £200 and liking.”

Megan then explained how crushing she would have found the message during her younger years.

She wrote above it: “So this is part of a paragraph someone I was dating used against me in the past.

“Slut shaming me and blaming partly why we ended on me working in the sex industry. At 20 this would have killed me. Thinking that someone I loved judged me like this. But the truth is it says more about them.”

Megan then urged her 1.7million followers: “Don't ever let anyone belittle you for using your femininity to get that dollar. especially when they met you knowing your line of work.”

She ended the post with: “My god if you don't rate someone for being able to sell their £5 panties for £200 I don't want you in my life.”
