Kelly Brook has spoken about her wedding for the first time in depth, revealing that some aspects of her big day still “haunt” her six months on.

43 year old Kellytied the knot to her long-term partner Jeremy Parisi over the summer in a lavish ceremony in Italy surrounded by friends and family, just months after news of the couple’s secret engagement broke.

But now, speaking on Vicky Pattison’sThe Secret To podcast, the TV personality revealed that not everything about the magical occasion went to plan and that guests “got pretty wet” due to some extremely bad weather.

“It rained five to ten minutes before we said our vows. We got ushered into this tower and it was like something out of a sitcom,” she said.

“There was a woman trying to carry a harp up five flights of stairs in this ancient tower. It haunts me still.”

After describing the “biblical” downpour that took place, Kelly went on to add that she still hasn’t been able to bring herself to watch any wedding footage back due to her memories of the day.

“I look completely stressed and with straggly hair. Jeremy watches the wedding video all the time but I can't face it yet.”

However, in spite of the unprecedented weather, the radio DJ added that her wedding day was full of “fun” and “authenticity”.

She added: “We were winging it the whole way. It made it so much fun. And it gave it the essence and authenticity of it being Italian and that is what I really wanted. You can't have the rainbow without the rain.”

The news of Kelly’s dramatic big day comes afterthe TV star opened up about the realities of planning the event.

Having been together with her now-husband Jeremy since 2015, Kelly admitted that the run-up to their big day was rather hectic due to their jam-packed diaries – an issue that left them with just weeks to organise the whole thing.

“With our busy work schedules and the quick turnaround of an Italian wedding, we only had six weeks to plan our special day once we received the paperwork required to get married abroad,” she said.

She continued: “There wasn’t much time to mull over it, so we steamed ahead with the planning. It felt more like planning a huge party for 50 of our family and friends. Having everyone there was so special – we’re still taking it all in.”
