Jorge Nava: Anfisa Ghosted Me Because My Weight Loss Made Her Jealous!

Last week, Anfisa Arkhipchenko Nava declared that her husband Jorge is a “vindictive little boy” who’s just angry that she is moving on without him.

Jorge, who remains behind bars, says that what drove Anfisa to leave him was jealousy — over the attention he received for losing weight.

Jorge Nava entered prison in September 2018 to begin serving what was initially to be a more than two-year sentence.

Currently, however, he expects to be out as soon as May — assuming that the coronavirus pandemic does not interfere with that date.

He wishes his fans well and he looks forward to more direct social media interactions with them soon.

Jorge is also looking forward to filing to divorce his wife, Anfisa … who has already moved on to a new man.

By way of his attorney, Jorge Nava spoke to In Touch Weekly about his soon-to-be ex-wife and her new boyfriend, Leo Assaf.

“I wish him the best with his new relationship,” Jorge says charitably.

While Jorge has no direct knowledge of this romance from Anfisa, he shares that he has been “getting some information from [his] family.”

“I know about him,” Jorge says. “[But] I don’t know what he looks like, and I don’t really care what he looks like.”

Jorge has undergone a dramatic body transformation, sharing that he has lost 128 pounds since he began serving his sentence.

Unfortunately, it appears that the headlines regarding his weight loss drove a wedge into his already precarious marriage.

“I think she was just jealous of the attention that I was getting,” Jorge opines.

He explains: “The news about my weight loss didn’t sit with her very well.”

When Jorge’s new photo began surfacing in November 2019, the entire 90 Day Fiance fandom took notice.

We remember — we covered it, too.

“At that very moment in time, that’s when she blocked my phone calls,” Jorge recalls.

“And I kind of was starting to lose contact with her,” he adds.

“She did tell me, like, right off the bat, like, the day after, that she didn’t want anything to do with me and that it was over,” Jorge shares.

That seems very abrupt and, given the suspicious timing, we can understand why Jorge is connecting those dots.

Jorge’s description of the end of their marriage — via being all but ghosted in prison — is very different from Anfisa’s version.

“I wanted to put our issues aside and stay by his side and support him in this difficult situation,” Anfisa claimed.

“However, the whole time I felt like I had a weight on my shoulders,” she expressed.

Anfisa said that it was an emotional burden “that wouldn’t let me be happy.”

“I knew I had to end it and it would be better for the both of us,” Anfisa claimed.

“So,” she alleged, “Jorge and I talked about it and mutually decided to part ways a few months ago.”

Anfisa then went on to say that Jorge is only claiming otherwise because he is a “vindictive little boy” and that he wanted revenge against her.
