Jenelle Evans Reacts to Husband David Eason Being Arrested for Assault

Jenelle Evans has broken her silence after the arrest of her husband David Eason.

The 28-year-old former Teen Mom 2 star shared a statement on Saturday (June 13) to let fans know that she and her kids are safe after David, 31, was arrested on Friday on charges of assault.

“I just want to let the public, tabloids, and my fans know that IM OK, IM SAFE AND SO ARE THE KIDS! I’m going to take a few days out to myself to gather my thoughts and focus on what’s going on so I won’t be on social media much. I love you all for the support that you all have shown me and I’ll be stronger and better than ever soon! ???” Jenelle wrote on Facebook along with a link to an article about David‘s arrest.

According to Celebnation, David was arrested in North Carolina on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and communicating threats following an argument with Jenelle and two of her friends.

The fight broke out after Jenelle brought two of her male friends back to her house to pick up a few of her things, The Sun reports. David accused one of the men of taking the keys to his truck, and then allegedly struck the man with a gun causing injuries to his neck and back.

David was bailed out of jail on an unsecured bond.
