Inside The Relationship Of Temptation Island’s Erica And Kendal

Erica Washington and Kendal Kirkland seemed to be a great team when fans first met them on the February 2020 Season 6 premiere of Temptation Island. However, as the episodes continued to air, the cracks of their relationship began to show.

In a teaser shared by the series’ official Twitter account  in January, a photo of Washington, 24, and Kirkland, 26, was seen, along with a message, reading, “She wants commitment, but are his ambitions bigger than their relationship?” Months later, it is clear that when it came to the romance between the Los Angeles-based couple, Washington and Kirkland have very different opinions about where they stand and where they’re going.

In a cast bio shared by the USA Network, it is noted that while Washington is fully convinced that Kirkland is “the one,” he is not so sure. As the profile explained, Washington, who works as a personal assistant, has zero doubts about her relationship with Kirkland and believes that appearing on the show will actually bring them closer together and, ultimately, lead to an engagement.

Meanwhile, as she attempts to show her boyfriend that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side, he worries that Washington simply isn’t the best fit for his life.

Kendal Kirkland wonders if anyone will meet his standards

As a successful businessman, Kendal Kirkland wants someone who can keep up with him personally and professionally. So, when presented with the idea of joining the cast of Temptation Island, he felt that doing so would provide him with a chance to see what’s out there and make a decision upon whether or not someone actually exists that can live up to his standards for a future partner. 

While Erica Washington does believe with her whole heart that she and Kirkland are meant to be together for the long haul, she did admit during filming that she feels under-appreciated by Kirkland at times.

As for the current relationship status of the pair, fans are going to have to wait and see if they make it as the new episodes air.
