Inside Magic Johnson’s star-studded 60th birthday bash in St. Tropez

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez were among the A-list guests this week at Magic Johnson and wife Cookie’s starry 60th joint birthday party in St-Tropez.

Also making the guest list were Spike Lee, Angela Bassett and Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles. Spies said that Lela Rochon was also spotted — with her wedding ring. Her husband, director Antoine Fuqua, was caught up in an alleged cheating scandal in July when he was photographed steamily kissing Nicole Murphy in Italy. The “Waiting To Exhale” star, who’s been married to Fuqua for 20 years, recently posted an Instagram shot with the ring on, saying “God is good,” after she’d taken a break from social media in the wake of the controversy. She hasn’t otherwise spoken publicly about the scandal — although Murphy publicly apologized.

Meanwhile, Knowles posted videos from the party of guests dancing to Beyoncé songs, while Johnson’s reality-star son EJ boogied with Lopez to Teena Marie’s “Square Biz.” A-Rod cheered from the sidelines. Comic Chris Tucker and R&B crooner Eric Benét quipped in a clip, “The sun is setting on a yacht with rich black people — we’re free!”

Benét also posted a video giving viewers a tour of Magic’s yacht: “This my boat. I bought it last week at Costco,” he joked. “Black people ordinarily don’t like being on boats, but when you’ve got Michelin chefs, masseuses and things, I can deal with the nautical life.”

Magic was presented with two 30-liter “Gold Midas” bottles of Jay-Z’s Armand de Brignac Champagne.
