Heidi Klum discusses putting husband on ‘strange diet’

Heidi Klum spoke out about the age difference with her husband Tom Kaulitz in an impromptu Q&A session with her 11.3 million Instagram followers.

One fan asked the supermodel, 50: “Don’t you feel that you’re in the age of Tom’s mom or age really doesn’t matter?”

Heidi shared the question to her Story and replied: “I honestly only feel that way when people point it out to me.”

This isn’t the first instance that she has discussed the age gap between herself and her husband after being “reminded” about how old she is.

She told InStyle in July 2018: “Lately, I’m being reminded more about my age by people other than myself.

“My boyfriend is many years younger than me, and lots of people are questioning that and asking about it.

“That’s really the only time when age seems to be shoved in my face and I have to give an answer for it.”

Heidi also stated that she wants to “live a happy life” and that “worrying is only going to give you more wrinkles”.

Tom, 33, is the German model’s third husband after being married to Ric Pipino from 1997 to 2002, and Seal between 2005 and 2014.

The pair began dating in March 2018, a few years after finalising her divorce from the 60-year-old singer, whom she shares four children with.

After meeting the Tokio Hotel guitarist while working on Germany’s Next Top Model, the pair reportedly “fell into an easy rhythm really quickly”.

The couple made their first public appearance together in May 2018, and seven months later announced their engagement.

In February 2019, Heidi and Tom married in a private wedding ceremony.

Speaking about the bond they share in January 2020, the 50-year-old told PEOPLE magazine: “For the first time, I have a partner who I can discuss everything with.

“Someone who shares duties that we all have in our life. I used to be on my own with everything. For the first time, I get to experience what it is actually like to have a partner.”
