Gogglebox fans delighted as Jenny joined by her adorable great-grandchildren on sofa

Gogglebox fans called TV favourites Jenny Newby and Lee Riley “comedy gold” as they were joined on the show by Jenny’s adorable great-grandchildren.

The entertaining duo returned to the show on last night’s episode and fans were thrilled to have the two new additions joining them on their sofa in Hull.

Jenny and Lee shared their thoughts on various TV programs that had been on during the week, including the Coronation of King Charles III whichbroke TV viewing records as 20m Brits tuned in.

Jenny’s adorable great-grandchildren joined the duo for a quick cuddle before they went off to bed and they had viewers in stitches as Lee encouraged them to call Jenny "old" and "wrinkly".

The girls then told their great-grandma that it was her hair and her glasses that made her old, before Lee interjected and said: "and her wrinkly skin?".

Fans took to Twitter to comment on how “cute” it was to see her great-grandchildren feature and also called the duo "comedy gold".

One fan wrote: “Oh how cute are Jenny’s grandchildren! #gogglebox”, while another commented: “Lee baiting the kids into telling Jenny she’s old ”.

Another Gogglebox fan wrote “Jenny and Lee are comedy gold. I love them so much”, while another said “Jenny and lee on form tonight as always lol…”

One fan was even shocked to learn that Jenny was a great-grandma as they said: “Jenny is a great grandma? Never! She looks far too young.”

Best friends Jenny and Lee have been fan favourites on the show since they first showed up on their screens in 2014.

The hilarious duo stole the hearts of viewers from their sofa in their humble caravan in Hull. They met when Jenny was the landlady of The Crown Inn pub and Lee was a regular customer and since have become inseparable.

Jenny was approached to join the show at a Beverley Races Ladies' Day, however Lee wasnt so sure at first and told Hull Daily Mail that it took Jenny “an hour and a half” to convince him.

He said: "To be honest and I didn’t want to do it. I’d say it took her about an hour and a half to talk me into it – about as long as it took me to get me out of bed.”

For years, fans presumed that the BFFs live together, however recently many have been left shocked to learn that the caravan is actually Lee’s, and Jenny just comes round for their filming shifts.

Instead, she lives at home with her husband, Ray, who made the decision to stay out of the spotlight and let his other half shine.

Lee and his partner Steve are also the proud owners of a house in Cyprus, and he once treated fans to a glimpse of his home from home.
