Frankie Bridge is one of the stars heading to the I’m A Celebrity castle later today. The Saturdays star has previously sung the praises of royal Meghan Markle as she admires one of her best traits.

Frankie is well-known for being in the girl band The Saturdays as well as appearing on Loose Women.

Now, the star will be swapping her glamorous showbiz life for the I’m A Celeb camp.

However, it’s not any of her new campmates who Frankie has previously admitted she admires most, but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Speaking back in 2020, Frankie shared her thoughts on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

When asked in an interview with The Sun who she admired most, she replied: “Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

“They’re doing their thing, like: ‘Screw everyone else.’”

This also isn’t the only time the pop star has shared her love for the royals.

Appearing on Loose Women back in February, she got into a clash with Jane Moore about their baby announcement.

Jane had expressed her surprise at how Meghan shared the announcement after asking for privacy.

Frankie said: “But she would have got pictured at some point.

“And then it would have been a bigger thing.”

She added: “They’re out there anyway.

“So sometimes people do put something out to get ahead of it because she’ll be hounded everywhere.”

Frankie will be making her I’m A Celeb debut alongside stars like Louise Minchin and Richard Madeley.

Her husband Wayne Bridge appeared on the show back in 2016.

Speaking about this, she said: “Ever since Wayne took part, he has been desperate for me to do it too and he can’t wait to watch me squirm and scream.

“I think people will be surprised to see me doing I’m A Celebrity, and I am scared of most things, but I really want to push myself.”

In a post on her Twitter page, she admitted she’s “so ready to get into the castle” after two weeks of isolation.

“I am terrified and excited in equal measure but I am so fed up of being on my own.

“And just thinking about what to expect. I’m scared of everything!”
