Jessie Wallace traded her iconic leopard print jacket made famous by Kat Slater for a more subtle look while shopping in London.

The soap star, 50, strolled out wearing some very comfy looking slippers, a huge lilac scarf and all-black jumper and trousers.

The actress completed the casual look with a flamboyant pair of sunglasses.

EastEnders fans are used to seeing Jessie's fiery character snuggling up to Phil Mitchell looking nothing but glamorous. So, this was a rare sighting of Jessie dressed down.

Since 2000, the actress has starred in the hit soap and won the nation's hearts with Kat's on-off relationship with Alfie Moon, played by fellow soap icon Shane Ritchie.

During her 21 years in Albert Square, Jessie has featured in some of the BBC show's most infamous and legendary storylines.

From the infamous reveal that Zoe Slater was her daughter to the intense baby swap storyline with Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha Womack), Kat frequently stuns viewers.

This more casual look comes after the actress was spotted in a rare press red carpet appearance, attending the Amy Winehouse Beyond The Stage exhibition in November last year.

Then she graced the red carpet, posing for photos wearing another all-black ensemble.

Jessie has a distinctive style and has a large spiritual tattoo of a reindeer standing on the wings of a bird on the middle of her back.

Above the reindeer on Jessie’s back there’s a pattern of a Pagan symbol of the Triple Moon, featuring the waxing and waning crescent moon in a circle.

According to website Ancient Symbols, the Triple Moon symbol “is a popular pagan and Wiccan symbol sued to represent the goddess."

“Also called the Triple Goddess symbol, the Triple Moon icon is commonly seen on the crowns or headpieces worn by the High Priestesses", it adds.

You'd never guess the star had such an inking, as she swapped her high heels for comfy slippers. Her tattoos also "stand for the Maiden and symbolises purity, youth, new life, beginnings, rejuvenation, excitement, enchantment, and expansion."

Her ink artwork does relate to her character's strong minded personality and her full moon design "represents the Mother and represents fulfilment, fertility, ripeness, potency, compassion, giving, caring, nurturing, protection and power."
