West End star Bradley Jaden is trying his hand at soap acting on EastEnders.

The star has joined the cast of the long-running series as Jed, a young man who comes to Albert Square to lodge with Sonia Fowler.

Bradley made his debut on the soap, which recently teased a shocking Christmas Day twist to come, on 31 January 2023 and his character has already made a great impression on the locals.

Bradley is perhaps more comfortable on stage than on screen and most of his acting credits are for West End productions.

The actor has appeared in The Rat Pack, Shrek The Musical, Ghost The Musical, The Blues Brothers and Wicked.

He also starred in two different productions of Les Miserables, initially playing rebel leader Enjolras and later returning to the show to play the play’s major antagonist, Inspector Javert.

Bradley even joined the cast of Les Miserables in Concert: The 25th Anniversary in 2010, which is where he met celeb pal and Comedian Matt Lucas, who starred in the anniversary edition as Monsieur Thernadier.

The Thernadiers, who run the local inn, act as secondary antagonists to Bradley’s Javert.

Their primary villainous moment is when they turn the pregnant Fantine out after she’s unable to pay more and more money to stay.

More than a decade later, it looks like Bradley and Matt have remained firm friends and teamed up during the pandemic to raise money for FeedNHS, a charity aimed at bringing hot and healthy meals to medics working on the front lines.

Comedian Matt duetted with a number of pals including Bradley to draw attention to the campaign.

At the time, Bradley called it an “incredible honour” to “sing again” with his friend Matt and urged his followers to donate.

Despite Bradley’s lengthy theatre credits, his stint on EastEnders isn’t actually his first soap role as he briefly appeared on Emmerdale as a character known only as Ben.

But his connections to Emmerdale don’t end there – Bradley was engaged to longtime Emmerdale star Amy Walsh, 31, who plays Tracy Metcalfe.

However, the two didn’t meet on the show and were instead introduced by Amy’s famous sister, Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh.

Bradley popped the question in August 2016 on a romantic holiday to Thailand but the pair didn’t announce it publicly until February 2017, in an exclusive interview with OK! Magazine.

At the time, Amy said that it was an “amazing feeling” and revealed that she had “burst into tears” during the proposal.

However, the romance wasn’t to last and the pair called off the engagement in April 2018.

Bradley moved on with Olivia Kate Holding, one of his Wicked co-stars.

It worked out a little better for Bradley and Olivia, who have been together since and officially tied the knot in July 2022.
