Eamonn Holmes was spotted out with his walking stick as he run an errand during a break from his work at GB News in Manchester.

The TV presenter, 62, was in the city for a live broadcast on Monday morning, but managed to pop to the shops for some essentials in between work duties.

The star, who recently claimed he was pulled over by the police after they thought his expensive car was stolen, looked smart in a dark suit and white shirt, which he wore alongside a polka-dot tie and held a walking stick in one hand.

Eamonn appeared in high spirits during the outing, but he has previously shared how he has struggled with chronic back pain.

The TV star has been open about his use of a walking stickto help him with chronic back pain, previously explaining how a trapped sciatic nerve has left him struggling to walk, with him undergoing physiotherapy and using strong painkillers to try and help the issue.

During an appearance on Loose Women last year, he opened up about his health issues, explaining that he suffered “three slipped discs”.

Speaking to his co-stars at the time, he said: “I actually have to come on here with a crutch, that’s the way I am at the moment. I’ve got steroid injections and everything’s okay, and hopefully I’ll be on the mend.

“Chronic pain, no matter what causes it – it doesn’t discriminate between whether you’re young or old, man or woman or whatever. I couldn’t sleep at night, I just couldn’t sleep. Lying there at night, trying to get to sleep while Ruth was sound asleep beside me. Honestly it was awful.”

The presenter is married to Ruth Langsford, with whom he shares a 20 year old son called Jack.

He also shares three children with his first wife Gabrielle – sons Declan, 33, and Niall, 29 as well as daughter Rebecca, 31.

Last year, the presenter became a grandfather for the first time after his son Declan welcomed a baby girl.

He recently shared a throwback photo of himself as a new dad alongside an identical-looking snap of his son Declan holding his own daughter Emilia.

The first snap showed Eamonn looking fresh-faced in a black jacket and white shirt as his son Declan looked straight at the camera while resting in his dad's arms.

An identical photo next to it showed Declan flashing a wide smile for the camera with his own daughter.

Gushing over the pictures, Eamonn wrote in the caption: "33 years ago he was my first born. Now he too knows the responsibility of being a Dad.

"Happy Birthday Dec So proud of you Son x," followed by a birthday cake emoji and two celebration emojis.

Eamonn's wife Ruth, 61, was quick to reply as she wrote: "You only imagine this day….and here it is!" followed by a red heart emoji.
