Donald Trump Apparently Called Alex Rodriguez Asking For His Thoughts On The Coronavirus Pandemic…

03/28/2020

Dude, seriously? Jennifer Lopez‘s man is a public health expert?!

Donald Trump certainly seems to think so, because according to multiple reports, he called former New York Yankees superstar infielder Alex Rodriguez seeking the ex-MLB star’s thoughts on the coronavirus pandemic, and the administration’s response. We’re honestly not even sure what to do with this one…

John Santucci at ABC News was the first one to report on the bizarre situation late Friday night, when he published two tweets about the apparent phone call, as you can see (below):

It’s nice to know that the call was apparently “pleasant,” as it was described by a source close to the famous former baseball player. Still, when doctors and nurses all around the country don’t have proper personal protective equipment, and the rate of death from the coronavirus seems to increase every day, wouldn’t it be more prudent to focus on, ya know, the important stuff?! Just saying…

Trump appears to have tweeted out his own response to the A-Rod report already, as well. Early Saturday morning, the Prez went on a Twitter tirade about fake news and the notion of naming sources, with three tweets about the matter (below):

Dude, you’ve got WAY more important stuff to worry about than this right now. Get focused!

New England Quarantine Coming?

Elsewhere, on Saturday morning, Trump mentioned to reporters that he’s considering a short-term quarantine for New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, as cases of coronavirus continue to rise in and around the NYC metro area. Speaking to reporters about it, according to CNN, the President said:

“We’re thinking about certain things. Some people would like to see New York quarantined because it’s a hotspot. … We might not have to do it, but there’s a possibility that sometime today we’ll do a quarantine, short-term, two weeks on New York. Probably New Jersey, certain parts of Connecticut. I’d rather not do it, but we may need it restrict travel, because they’re having problems down in Florida, a lot of New Yorkers going down. We don’t want that.”

Hmmm… that certainly sounds dubious and not at all thought out.

Of course, New York’s governor, Andrew Cuomo, has already weighed in on the matter, too, telling the outlet that Trump made no mention of it when the two of them spoke hours ago, and also (below):

“I don’t even know what that means. I don’t know how that could be legally enforceable. And from a medical point view, I don’t know what you would be accomplishing. But I can tell you, I don’t even like the sound of it.”

Well then!

What do U think of all this new Trump madness, y’all?! How’s he handling the coronavirus?? Sound OFF with your take about all of it down in the comments (below)…
