Dan Walker took to Twitter today to share an emotional video with his 657,900 followers.

The short clip, which left the 43-year-old TV presenter in tears, showed a frontline worker returning home to see her children for the first time after nine weeks apart.

“I wasn’t ready for this,” he wrote alongside the video with an added crying emoji.

The video captured mum-of-two Susie, who is an ODP (Operating Department Practitioner) at a hospital in Kings Lynn, reunited with her young daughters.

The two girls, aged seven and nine, went to stay with their aunt while their mother worked on COVID-19 ward, to reduce their risk of catching the virus.

Before the sweet family reunion, they had not seen their mum for over two months.

In the footage, the two girls could be seen watching something on their laptop while sitting in the garden.

Susie slowly walked into view and stood behind her daughters who were oblivious until she whispered in their ears.

The pair instantly spun around and threw their arms around their mother, who they had clearly missed a great deal.

The video, which is thought to have been posted by their auntie, was captioned: “Just in case you missed it. Here’s the girls being reunited with Mummy after 9 weeks of being away so she could help save lives. Please feel free to share.”
