‘There is no easy way to get through abreakup and no bad feeling on either side. We tried to make it work, but itwasn’t meant to be and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future.’
Although the reason for their split hasn’t been confirmed, it was rumoured that Maura’s closeness to her Dancing On Ice partner, Alexander Demetriou, was part of the cause.

‘Maura spent hours and hours with Alex in rehearsals forweeks and they have got really close,’ an insider revealed.
‘They have grown very friendly and it’s not gone unnoticedwith the rest of the cast and crew — or Carlotta.
‘She is furious about their increasingly cosy relationshipwhich has continued despite Maura being knocked out of the competition,’ theyadded to the Sun. ‘There are clearly some feelings there which Maura can’thelp.’
