Corey Taylor says people who are afraid of being administered Covid vaccine shots are listening to the wrong people.

The Slipknot lead singer made the remarks in an interview with Heavy Consequence via Zoom.

He was asked about the divide among people in the United States among taking vaccines.

“The fact that [vaccines] have been demonized, almost to the point of these gnarly conspiracy theories, no wonder why people are afraid of it — because they’re listening to the wrong people,” Taylor said.

Regarding his thoughts on whether it should be made mandatory for attendees to be vaccinated to allow entry into concerts, Taylor said, “There shouldn’t be a mandate, but guess what, man, if you’re going to put people at risk of getting sick, you shouldn’t want to go to a show. That’s common sense. And if you do put people at risk, then you’re a f**kin’ asshole. And you shouldn’t be let in anyway.”

“So, for me, it’s a common-sense thing, but we don’t have a lot of common sense these days, man,” he added.

Taylor’s comments come at a time only half of of the U.S. population has yet received vaccination against the coronavirus.
