Wilhelmina CEO Bill Wackermann is grateful for our recent coverage of the modeling agency not renewing his contract.

Wacky Wackermann shot off a thank-you note to us via his Instagram Stories, even sending us a flower emoji after we broke the news. “Flowers for my #1 fan,” he wrote.

We’re still waiting for an actual flower delivery, but the controversial CEO did thank us for choosing a good photo. “Love the pic!” he wrote.

It’s a far cry from the e-mails he sent us accusing his former VP, Taylor Hendrich, of leaking company info when we wrote about agents exiting the agency under his reign. “I see that Taylor received his reward for giving you all your ‘inside information,’” he wrote. “He finally got his picture in the paper, with the header of ‘boss’ no less, what a joke, I literally laughed out loud.” (Hendrich wasn’t the source.)

Wilhelmina sued five other former employees in May, we reported, alleging that they violated contracts. The group countered in court documents that they left a “hostile work environment.” The suit was later discontinued by both parties. Meanwhile, Wackermann will remain at the company as an “at-will” employee when his contract ends in January.
