Cardi B splashes out nearly £100k on ‘birthday bling’ for one-year-old daughter

The chart-topping hitmaker made sure her baby daughter Kulture celebrated her first birthday in serious style.

Cardi B and her rapper husband Offset are said to have dropped a whopping $100,00 (£78,500) on a diamond-encrusted necklace for their only child in celebration of the big day.

And that’s not all, as the proud parents are also said to have splashed out another $400,000 (£314,000) on her birthday party too.

According to TMZ, Offset and Cardi commissioned the one-off piece for Kulture’s first birthday party on July 10th, and the chain features characters from Word Party, her favourite TV show.

The publication reports that the necklace was made by Eliantte, a favourite jeweller for rappers and celebs.

They add that the pendant and chain were made of diamonds, white gold and coloured enamel.

Cardi took to her Instagram live stories to tell fans she wasn’t holding back with her daughter’s big day.

She said: “Kulture’s birthday party, no lie, I’m spending about $400,000 (£314,000).

“And it’s like, damn! $400,000 for a birthday party? But that’s because it’s her first birthday party and s**t costs!”

Cardi’s extravagant celebrations come shortly after she suffered a very awkward wardrobe malfunction while performing on stage at the Bonnaroo Arts and Music Festival last week.

The 26-year-old Bodak Yellow singer was forced to perform in a slinky bathroom robe after her skintight multicoloured sequinned Dior bodysuit split open at the back following some very vigorous twerking.

Ever the professional, the mum-of-one swiftly disappeared from the stage for a few minutes while the audience stayed busy singing Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road.

She then triumphantly returned to the stage covered in a skimpy white bathrobe.

Cardi has been married to husband Offset since September 2017.
