People are calling for Justin Timberlake to be ‘cancelled’ for how he treated Britney Spears during their past relationship.

Pop star Justin and Britney met as child stars on the Mickey Mouse Club and went on to become a famous power couple, dating between 1999 to 2002.

But the former NSYNC band member is now trending on Twitter, after Britney Spears dropped new allegations about their relationship in her memoir, 'Woman in Me.'

In an excerpt from the book, the star reveals that she was pregnant with Justin’s baby when they were both 19, and while she had hoped to keep the baby, Justin felt the couple were ‘too young.’

The Hit Me Baby singer penned in an excerpt obtained by People: "It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated."

She continued: "But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young."

Now fans are slamming Justin for the way he handled the situation, sharing resurfaced clips of him joking about their sexual relationship in the media.

In one video that has now gone viral, Justin is asked in a radio interview if he slept with Britney, to which he laughs and responds enthusiastically: “Ok, I did it!”

Another clip shows Britney in a 2004 ABC interview saying that she found discussions about their private life, ‘exploitative and weird.’

Sharing the video, a fan account weighed in: “Britney Spears had an abortion, and Justin Timberlake's reaction to their break up is to exploit her sexual experiences publicly, knowing very well how the world would treat her while she had to carry this huge secret and pain for years.”

Others took aim at Justin for releasing his December 2011 hit track Cry Me A River inspired by his breakup with Britney.

“The fact that he turned a blind eye to everything they went through, and built his career in making Britney the BAD GUY is disgusting! I never liked him, and I can't wait for the book to come out already. The 'cry me a river' still irks me to this day," a fan wrote.

Others took to Twitter, formerly known as Twitter, to share the hashtag #CancelJustinTimberlake, with someone saying: "Time to take all this Justin Timberlake merchandise and burn it, including CDs… @jtimberlake, you owe @britneyspears more of an apology than you gave her a few years ago.

"You legit started the downfall. #WomanInMe #CancelJustinTimberlake.”

But many felt sympathetic for a young Justin and defended him, with a fan pointing out: “They were not in a place for a child at that age and would have sent a TERRIBLE message as well."

Another added: “I'm against cancel culture because I think it's a rather toxic concept, but I think that he should definitely be held accountable for this."

While another chimed in: “I kinda feel bad for Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel,” referring to the singer’s actress wife.

“Because Britney just said that she had an abortion while being in a relationship with him. Like, what… are they supposed to do with that info? Keep it to yourself, Britney. Your choice.”
