BTS’ J-Hope Donates Thousands for School Scholarships

J-Hope is paying it forward!

The 25-year-old BTS singer has donated thousands to fund school scholarships in Korea.

J-Hope has reportedly donated approximately $83,900 through ChildFund Korea.

The money that J-Hope has donated is being used to help fund scholarships for five years for low-income students at Jeonnam Girls’ Commercial High School.

Thanks to J-Hope’s generous donation, 10 students will be chosen each year of the scholarship to receive 500,000 won (or about $420) each.

According to the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, the students who receive J-Hope’s scholarship money will be chosen based on “outstanding grades and good conduct.”

The school was so grateful for J-Hope’s donation, they recently had a special assembly to celebrate the scholarships.
