Briana DeJesus: I’m NOT Friends With Jenelle Evans Anymore!

It’s been over three months since Jenelle Evans was fired from Teen Mom 2.

During that time, both colleagues and fans of the show have rejoiced in Jenelle’s absence — and it’s not hard to see why.

After all, Evans didn’t get canned for showing up late to the set.

No, she was let go after her husband, David Eason, shot and killed the family dog, a grim development that prompted a CPS investigation.

That investigation led to Jenelle losing custody of her kids after authorities determined she had failed to provide a safe and stable environment.

Not exactly the sort of situation that inspires the fervent support of one’s co-workers.

But through it all, one fellow Teen Mom has stuck by Jenelle’s side.

Evans’ friendship with Briana DeJesus began even before DeJesus joined the TM2 cast.

But as Bri revealed earlier this week, that relationship is officially a thing of the past.

When a fan asked on Twitter if DeJesus still speaks with Jenelle, the Orlando resident did not mince words:

“No we don’t,” Briana responded.

“She’s upset with me. A blogger asked me a question (if Mtv will bring Jenelle back) and I said not as of now and she’s upset I said that.”

Bri later elaborated on her comment in an interview with Radar Online:

“Jenelle got mad at me because I was asked in an interview if I thought she’d come back to the show, and I said at this point I didn’t think that would happen,” Briana told the site, adding:

“Based on what I’ve been told I still stand by that she would not be back.”

Apparently, Jenelle was so upset by the innocuous remark that she reached out to DeJesus:

“She sent me a message telling me she can’t trust me,” Briana continued.

“She told me that I’m not going to be invited to her makeup line launch because of what I said. I said okay to that, because what can I do? I said the truth and I guess that offended her.”

DeJesus seems mostly accepting of her former friend’s decision, but she also clearly believes she deserved better treatment from Jenelle:

“The irony is I’m the only one on the cast who had her back and was her friend and filmed with her when no one else would. But if she wants to act like that, so be it,” Briana said.

“I have no issues with Jenelle personally, but she’s chosen to have an issue with me and that’s her prerogative. I wish her the best.”

Briana speaks the truth in that respect.

On social media and in numerous interviews, Bri was Jenelle’s most outspoken backer in the wake of her firing:

“I am sad for her,” Briana said at the time.

“I wish there was some kind of compromise for all of this. She worked her ass off for so long to just be thrown to the wolves,” she said in an interview with Radar Online.

“I hope she gets everything she ever wanted and I just want her to flourish!”

DeJesus encouraged fans of the show to be compassionate in their assessment of Jenelle:

“While lots of people are judging, they need to take a step back and remember that they’ve never lived her life,” she said.

“They don’t know the exact ins and outs of what she’s dealing with just because of what they think they’ve seen on TV.

“Everyone’s situation is different, but I really hope this all works out, especially for the kids’ sake.”

Unfortunately, DeJesus is now learning the same hard lesson that Anthony Scaramucci learned about Donald Trump — eventually, the person who betrayed everyone else will betray you, too.
