Bill Murray and Kelis pictured as it’s revealed the unlikely pair are ‘dating’

Kelis, 43, and Bill Murray, 72, have been pictured together for the first time, just hours after it was reported that they are enjoying a whirlwind romance.

The Milkshake singer and Hollywood legend, who have a 30-year age gap, were seen together while beaming for a picture alongside Children Of Zeus bandmember Konny Kon – with the artist sharing it to his Twitter account.

Wrapping an arm around Kelis, Bill appeared in high spirits for the outdoor snap at Cross The Tracks festival – after reports that the couple have been meeting up in both the UK and the US after 'hitting it off'.

The pair appeared to enjoy a weekend at London festival Mighty Hoopla earlier this month, where Kelis performed, while Bill is currently in the United Kingdom filming a sequel to his film Ghostbusters. He is reprising his role as Peter Venkman and will once again star alongside the original cast of the 1984 hit film.

Kelis’s second husband Mike Mora died in March last year at the age of 37 after a battle with stage 4 stomach cancer. He revealed in September 2021 he had been diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer. He was given just 18 months to live.

While Bill mourned the loss of his ex-wife, Jennifer Butler, who he split from in 2008 after more than a decade together, following her death in 2021.

Sharing that the unlikely couple bonded over their shared losses, a source told The Sun: "They’ve met up in the States before which got people in the industry talking, and now are meeting up in London while they’re both here. They’ve clearly hit it off."

They continued: "But they’ve also both shared relatively recent bereavements and have that common bond between them. "Whatever it is that has brought them together, and however unlikely it seems, they are both single and are having fun despite the fairly big age gap."

OK! contacted representatives for Kelis and Bill for comment at the time.

Kelis hails from New York and rose to fame with album Kaleidoscope in 1999, before releasing popular single 'Milkshake' in 2003. While Illinois native Bill became of prominence during his stint on The National Lampoon Radio Hour – before becoming a household US name on Saturday Night Live from 1977 to 1980.

Fans have been left in shock over the unlikely pairing, with many taking to Twitter to share their confusion. Opting for a play on words with Kelis' music, one wrote: “Didn’t expect her milkshake to bring this boy to the yard.”

“Kelis caught a Ghostbuster,” joked another.
